thank you ALL for your patience and tolerance! i seem to have opened
a can of worms that is thankfully coming to an end. i hope i haven't
stirred up too many horrible memories, and can meet some of you in the
flesh at denvention.

i appreciate all the inside tips (and simplification). this experience
has taught me a lot, and i hope i can retain most of it. i am
definitely a turnkey end user, but who knows, in time i may become more
proficient as the interface continues to become more user friendly.
i've been online since 1989 and the learning curve has definitely
gotten easier.

maybe if it was something i did with my job i would keep up better. it
would be nice to know what all those icons mean at the bottom of my
screen (desktop?-). i finally figured out how to program my tivo after
my son move up north. i look forward to when everything is voice
activated like in star trek, and i can throw my keyboard away.

jon

and ronn, i think my operating system is tiger? it was panther, but
when they replaced my hard disk they loaded tiger. i'm going to stay
with the old yahoo; the new one is too daunting.
