For code editing I recently changed to Gedit [1] from kwrite and
before that nano.
For the rest of the cycle:
pain -» idea -» design -» code -» check -» critique -» test -»
run-» release -» real-life
I use a DIY web-based IDE called The Goo that runs in elinks/firefox.
