I'm pretty sure there was some sort of zone defence being played during
March Madness ... maybe that's not waht they were calling it but, it
certainly wasn't man-on-man ...
Of course, it may be different for the college games ...

Just to quote another parallel with basketball. In the states, zone
defence has been abolished, players are only allowed to defend man on
man! This was done to quicken up the game and make it more spectacular.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
