Hope everyone had fun at the indoor nationals. would have loved to have been there... but got shafted
I have a bone to pick but i don't know who i should be pickinh it with. but someone somewhere has not acted in the best interests of ultimate and its reputation. As some of you may be aware, a place opened up at the tournament, and bids for that spot were invited. Sublime and Uriel both requested the spot... I don't know why, but sublime (and i have nothing against them because i'd have applied for the spot in their position too - and congratulations to them on a storming performance by the way) were awarded the space ahead of Uriel. This seems odd because we played each other in the same region, Uriel winning convincingly, and finishing one place higher. If anyone knows why we didn't get the place, i'd be very interested to know. As it stands, it seems as if there was very little point in Uriel entering the weston qualifiers in the first place, as despite our efforts in coming 6th, we were passed over in favour of the 7th placed team. The results of weston are on the ukultimate website... it surely can't be rocket science? And if the spot goes on first come first served, then doesn't that need addressing?
