Having just read the recent e-mails regarding the UKUA I just thought I'd add what support I can. I've been playing Ultimate for about 7 years, started out as a junior & only recently got back into the sport. It became clear that unless you were affiliated with a student team it was hard to know about tournaments/results etc. We still have a few players that are juniors & play GB and we get most of our info of them. Now with the new association it is extremely encouraging as it seems to encourage and involve really enthusiastic players who find themselves a little isolated. I cannot say what a difference already the new attitude has made to our team. GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

I have no complaints. I know that all of you have put a hell of a lot into getting uku up and running. I was reacting to the slam down of Steve's questions. The website will come, association will get up and running. I just think that questions like steve's shouldn't be considered dangerous or negative. All it needs is for someone to point him in the direction of the proposal + AGM + britdisc archive (as did happen). As a ultimate body we should be open to questions - if we start flaming them off as we did here, then they don't get asked and ultimate players continue with the questions in their heads and eventually get turned off. The email was targetted more at the flamers than at ukua. Any how I obviously have to much time on my hands at work, ben On Wed, 27 Mar 2002, Ben Ravilious wrote: > Putting stuff on the website is important (and one of the things agreed as part of the membership package) > > However, getting a newsletter going and an administrator up and running have been highest priority. > > We'll get there in the end!
