This week sees the first ever Junior Worlds, taking place in Latvia. Due to the timing of the tournament (school term), GB have a very small and extremely last minute team that flew out on Tuesday. The are 7 junior 'open' teams and 5 girls teams competing in separate divisions.
First games were yesterday and the GB Juniors narrowly lost to both Finland and Latvia. The team still seems very happy but the 30 degree heat is killing them. Everyone is playing well though and the team hope for better things today. With Sweden and Canada to play, progress to the semis may now be tough, the team is there more for experience and to have fun. Lithuania and Russia make up the rest of the division.
