Dear Britdisc,
Not wishing to distract from the fascinating
discussion of female sporting attire, I am trying to work on some points scoring
systems for use in the upcoming student season. I was trying to understand the
origins of the tour ranking score system, in particular why the fixed points for
the top 16 are spread as they are. A quick search of the britdisc archive
reveals nothing other than we used to award 162 points for 9th place! Does
anyone remember who first came up with the system or why it was done the way it
is? Any info please email me off
