Here are the final standings for the Co-Ed Tour 2002.

Congratulations to Grazed and Confused for winning by some margin.

The Tour has seen players of all levels successfully mixing and contributing
to good events. Some heavyweights have had regular opportunitites to slug
it out with each other. Intermediate and upwardly mobile squads, with
perhaps some of the stars of tomorrow, have had a chance to have a go at the
stars of today, and each other. New players have been directly exposed
early in their playing days to high standards, as well as competing with
their peers.

According to rosters 18 players played their first tournaments on this
year's Co-Ed Tour. Congratulations to We've Got Guns who introduced 7 of
them, over only 2 events, and still managed to finish 13th.

Thank you to those who organised events and made the Tour possible.
Invitations to Nationals, and rostering issues for Nationals, will be
covered in a separate mailing.

At the end of the season I will make some proposals to the competitions
committee about how the Co-Ed Tour could be improved and hopefully there
will be plenty of opportunity for public debate on Britdisc at the
appropriate time. Not wanting to start a debate now, but ideas include:
electronic rostering as per the Open Tour; 4 events plus Nationals; minimum
(but realistic) standards to be met by those bidding to host and profit from
Co-Ed events; clearer rules and penalties for failing to field a proper team
to be quickly and objectively enforced; paid coordinator... No doubt there
are many good and better suggestions around and I hope we get to hear them
all in the fullness of time.

For those of you taking notes... Ties were decided by aggregating finishing
positions using a common denominator.

Eg
Superfly, finishing 13/20 + 15/16 = 508/320
are beaten by
Flyght Club, finishing 15/20 + 12/16 = 480/320

And finally....

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE BRITISH TEAMS GOING TO HAWAII!!!!!!!!
Give us something to cheer about as we risk getting sacked for surfing the
net on company time!!!!!
