Sorry to bother you all again. The new mailing
list is not letting non-members send messages yet.
For the time being, tell me if you are interested
at this address:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . I shall try to sort out the
problem ASAP.
To answer a few of the questions
already, I am not sure of the pick-up potential curently. The size of the league
will be determined by the number of teams entered, not so much by the number of
players wanting to play. Students and non-student teams equally welcome. We may
opt for a co-ed-ish type format (like the London League this
year???).
From here on in, if I can get Yahoogroups to work
I shall try to keep MWL correspondence off BritDisc.
Thanks.
Mal.

Subject: Midlands Winter League (outdoor Ultimate) Calling any Ultimate players in the Midlands
region:
Are there any teams/players out there who fancy
playing competitive outdoor Ultimate through the Winter months?
It is our intention to organise a Winter League
for Midland teams. The plan is to have 4 or 5 1-day meetings. The
format will be league based (points attributed for wins, maybe for draws too),
heading towards a Final competition in March.
Some dates are suggested below but are by no means
fixed.
Proposed dates:
League
meetings
Sunday 3rd November 2002
Sunday 8th December 2002
Sunday 12th January 2003
Sunday 16th February 2003
League
Finals
Sunday 30th March 2003
The venue and hosts for each meeting will change,
so if you are keen to play in the league you should be able to find somewhere in
your vicinity suitable for a 1-day league meeting. The number of meetings and
the number of pitches will be determined by the number of teams
participating.
The details have yet to ironed out, but if you are
interested the please send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
expressing your (teams) interest, and if you think you'll be able to host a
meeting.
Thanks for reading this far.
Mal.
