Si
Maybe this has been covered in other postings today that I won't get until the digest comes out, but I'd be grateful if you could clarify this apparent anomoly:
from your first mail yesterday:
"- A team that absolutely cannot attend Nationals unless it is allowed to pick up unrostered players may do so."
and from your second mail:
"It is NOT OK for any other team to invite along a friend or visitor or field any kind of unrostered player."
Surely there are 2 kinds of team: those who are already entered, and those that are not. The former have to make do with the players they have on their roster; the latter can add to their roster in order to be able to field a team.
There are also 2 kinds of players: those that are rostered with a Mixed team, and those that are not. The former are only allowed to play for the team with whom they are rostered (whether their team is entered or not); the latter are in a postion to help other Mixed teams by rostering with them TO ENABLE THAT TEAM TO PARTICIPATE.
I am a latter player looking for a latter team. What is the benefit in stopping me picking up for such a team? (Notwithstanding the fact that there have been no bids yet on this particular lot :-)
I'm with Si Hill, ditch the lot. Isn't it just way too much hassle for everyone, not least you!
Cheers
Wayne
