***Announcing the return of Mix and Mingle – The Hull Indoor Coed Experience, 8/9th Feb 2003***
That’s right, last years biggest, best and ONLY indoor Coed tournament is returning.
It probably won’t be bigger, it probably won’t be better, but it will still be a hell of a lot of fun.
Once again held in Hull on the beautiful coast of the murky Humber estuary, the tournament will take place on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of February 2003.
This year will again be a 20 team tournament, ran at the lovely Beverley leisure centre (same venue as last year), a short stones throw from Hull, but far enough away that there will be no scallies about to nick your bag while you are on the pitch.
Normal Coed rules apply, meaning that teams need an on the pitch 3/2 gender split decided by the offence at the start of each point.
What we can guarantee:-
- Free accommodation on someone’s floor, if you don’t fancy roughing it then a world of cheap hotels are only a short walk from the party venue.
- The party, the highlight of last year’s tournament is returning in an unchanged format. Once again the 1980’s theme will be in place. Last year every team dressed in some sort of garish clothing and then drank and danced the night away to Frankie and Spandau Ballet. But this year the party will be held in a bigger, better slightly less seedy venue with the added bonus of free entrance to the classy Park Lane night club if you want to continue revelling well into the small hours. Prizes for best outfit will be again returning (can anyone possibly beat Danny from Bradford with his glam, David Bowie type getup, complete with full face make up). There will also be a karaoke challenge competition to find out who the Simon Le Bon’s amongst us are, and who are the Rick Astely’s.
