Britdisc, As a representative of Flyght Club and the Ultimate community of Nottingham, I would like to pass on the following news to the Ultimate players of the UK.
Sam Rey has long been associated with the organisation of good (if a little chaotic) tournaments in Nottingham. He has always relied heavily on the help and support of the Ultimate players of Nottingham to run these events. Unfortunatly due to continued anti-social, financially negligent and in one case phyiscally abusive behaviour, Sam Rey has been thrown out of Flyght Club on a permanent basis. The Femme Fest 1 was organised by Sam Rey and run with the help of a few die hard Flyght Club members, who believed that the players attending the event deserved a decent tournament. They helped in terms of accommodation, scoring, time-tableing and general running around. However at Femme Fest 2 no assistance will be given what so ever. Additionally there will be no Nottingham teams or players attending the event. Flyght Club deeply regret having to take this action but after many hours of negotiation, we have been left with no choice. We felt that it was only fair this information be disclosed before people make a discision about coming to Femme Fest 2. If anyone requires further details of this issue please feel free to contact myself or any of the Flyght Club committee members, who's email addresses are provided below.
