For those who haven't found them yet, the results and current league standings from MWL#2 can be found on the website http://slipdisc.tripod.com/mwl
MWL#2 was held at Moderns Rugby Club, Nottingham, on Sunday Nov 24 2002, hosted by Flyght Club. All teams turned out, providing a 100% record so far. Hope all enjoyed the dry, yet muddy conditions. In short, Purple Haze completed a clean sweep, winning all of their matches (played 6, won 6 altogether). In the chasing pack, Red, BAF, Bears and Flyght Club experienced a day of mixed fortunes. Mental Knights secured their first win of the league, and were unfortunate not to achieve greater success. An indication of things to come maybe? Slipdisc experienced a day of mainly forgettable results , whilst Mootones are improving as each event passes. Thanks to all for turning up, and thanks to Flyght Club for hosting. The next event is to hosted by Mootones, in the provincial Midlands town of Oxford (!?!), scheduled for Sunday, January 26 2003. See you there. Mal.
