The Pookas in association with UCD Ultimate are hosting the 7th Annual Dublin International Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of April 2002. There will be 16 teams competeing. It is an open tournament with a sub-girls division and a seperate girls final. We have two girls teams here in Ireland just itching to compete against other European girls teams!
It will be bigger and better than last years tournament so if you've always wanted to come to Ireland and sample our good old fashioned Irish hospitality and beer (and frisbee) then now is the time to do it! This tournament was held in UCD (University College Dublin) last year which is only 3kms from the city centre. It will be held there once again this year. UCD has all the facilities you will need; the sports centre, which is only a discs throw from the fields, has hot showers, food and most importantly, a bar with excellent Guinness! We will accept applications starting on Monday the 20th of January so find out whether or not you'll have a team to come and then get those applications in fast! Entry will be on a first come first served basis. The tournament team entry fee has not been finalised but will be by Wednesday the 15th of January and a subsequent email will be sent out. Accomodation will be provided for your team. The website is being constructed at the moment and will be up shortly. All details will be posted by me before the 20th of January.
