All, Three issues have been brought to my attention after T4, one of which has already been answered, but will reiterate for your benefit.
1. Paddy Murphy, are not eligible to enter UKU nationals. This event is solely for UK teams, which unfortunately does not include Irish teams. It would include Northern Irish teams if they entered. Paddy Murphy, like any other foreign team are able to enter the tour, but do not qualify for Nationals. This is a constitutional issue that is linked to the regions that the UKU represents. 2. Flyght Club: When posting the previous results I was not aware that Flyght Club had withdrawn from T4 on the morning of the event. This has repercussions as outlined in the Tour rules and are follows: - Move to Black List - Lose the money - Lose all points for T4 - Be fined 5% per day for 6 days ie 30% of Tour points Therefore tour points after tour 3 was 248, less 30% is 74 therefore final points are 173 with a final ranking of 27 3. Similar to Flyght Club, Red 2 withdrew on Thursday before the tournament, therefore: - Move to Black list - Lose money - be fined 5% per day for 4 days ie 20% of Tour points. Therefore after Tour points are at 152 less 20% is 30 therefore final points are 122 and final ranking is 33 Revised final standings are below. Please note, that the blacklist applies to the next tour event and not nationals. There is precedent set for this rule (Clapham 2 withdrawing for T4 in 2001). Additionally the same situation set the precedent that only one team within the club is penalised. However there is discussion within the UKU that whilst geo-clubs have advantages within the tour, both within the rules and practical advantages to running a club, then they should also in future bear the penalty across all teams within the club. I would be interested in hearing peoples opinions on this. (This will not happen this season) Thanks to Adam and Barry for brining this to my attention.
