_____________________________________________________________________________DIRECTIONS TO EDINBURGH FOR WOMENS INDOOR NATIONALS
DRIVING
From the South
If youre on the West side of the UK take the M6/A74(M)/M74 its all one road and turn off onto the A702 to EDINBURGH!
Follow the A702 to the centre.
For the Friday meet at the Crags Pub which is on the A7 Dalkeith Road look at the following map. You will come up from the bottom of the page on the A702 and will need to take the A700 to get across to the A7.
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=327500&Y=672500&width=500&height=300&client=public&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&scale=50000&left.x=8&left.y=11
If youre looking at this map, the Crags Pub is just after the junction where you turn right onto the A7. Its on the right hand side of the road and is opposite the Pollock Halls of residence. There is a small car park belonging to the pub.
To get to the Jack Kane Centre the address of the Jack Kane Centre is 208 Niddrie Mains Road EH16 4NB. If you find your way onto the A7 (as explained above) and follow that road down you will come to a weird junction which is actually a roundabout. You want to take the first left here onto the A6095 see this map http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=328000&Y=672000&width=500&height=300&client=public&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&scale=25000&out.x=9&out.y=6
Just stay on this road and follow it for about 2 miles (youll pass the Peffermill playing fields on your right). Keep a look out on your right (after all the shops) for a BIG GREEN AREA you might drive past it 1st, but just turn round. There should be a signpost saying the Jack Kane Centre but its a big ugly building surrounded by green grass and it looks like a prison from the outside!!! Loverly! But rest assured the hall is just fine!
If youre on the East side of the UK i.e. Leeds its probably easiest to take the A1 right up to Edinburgh. Its probably easiest to look at this map - http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=330000&Y=670000&width=500&height=300&client=public&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&scale=100000&out.x=5&out.y=10
And take the A1, then the A720 then turn up the A7.
If you read the directions to the Crags and to the Playing Fields as Ive written them from the West of the UK, you should be able to determine that the Crags pub will be at the top of the A7 on your left, and the Jack Kane Centre will be the red road that turns off the A7 see the last map to the right with Craigmillar written underneath it.
IF NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE PLEASE EMAIL ME!!!
From North of Edinburgh
Im assuming u lasses know ur way! Please email me if you wish me to post directions.

From the Train Station
To the Crags Pub: You can either walk (about 25mins), take a taxi (easy) or get the bus.
By Foot:
Follow the signs out of the station onto Waverley Bridge. Face the castle and turn left. Walk to the mini roundabout and go straight across up a hill which is Cockburn Street. At the top turn left to the traffic lights. At the lights, turn right (South Bridge) and walk down this road until you hit (not literally) Blockbusters on the left of the road. Turn left here and at the end of the road turn right. You should see lots of traffic lights and big buildings opposite. Stay on the right side of the road and walk until u stumble across the Crags Pub (which is on the right).
By Bus:
Follow the signs out of the station onto Waverley Bridge. Face the castle and turn right. This will take you to Princes Street (lots of shops!). Cross over the road and turn right. Walk until you see a bus stop where the number 30 bus stops (it should be just after a road on your left). Take the number 30 bus, and ask the driver to tell you where to get off for the Commonwealth Pool (thats opposite the Crags Pub). Or you can try and trace the bus route by following the directions as by foot coz it takes the same route.
From the Bus Station
When you get off the bus, enter the station face the shops within the bus station and turn right there should be (small) signs for Princes StreetFOLLOW THEM! Take the escalators up and out of the station and turn left. Walk to the end of the road (you should pass Harvey Nichols on your left). Youll reach a T-junction.
To get to the Crags turn left at the T-junction and jump on a number 30 bus the bus stop is just left of the road youve just turned off OR to walk turn right and cross the road almost immediately. Walk across Waverley Bridge (the train station should be on your left) and follow the directions as above.
To get to the Jack Kane Centre its a little too far to walk so either get a bus or taxi. Tell the taxi driver its on Niddrie Mains Road, if he doesnt know (I think itll cost about 10 or so).
By Bus:
You need to take the Number 30 bus so just follow the above directions to the bus stop.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT CHANGE, COZ YOU DONT GET CHANGE ON EDINBURGH BUSES. YOU WILL NEED 80p TO GET TO THE JK CENTRE!
Sit on the bus.
After about 15minutes (depending on traffic), look out of the right window. You should be passing lots of run-down shops (also you might like to spot Peffermill Playing Fields but thats before the shops). Keep looking on the right for a big green area with a prison like building. This is the Jack Kane centre. There is 1 bus stop pretty much opposite the centre with one more about 10metres down the road just in case you miss the first.
Get off and walk up the small green hill to the entrance (just follow the walking path).
IF NONE OF THAT MAKES SENSE, PLEASE EMAIL ME!
If youre arriving by Plane

From Edinburgh Airport:Youll need to take the airport bus to the centre this will take about 20-25mins. Its last stop is Waverley Bridge. Get off here and just follow the directions above to get to the JK Centre or the Crags.
If anyones arriving from Glasgow Airport (not prestwick) and needs help email me.
