I do know a little more about this, having coincidentally taken a phone call from the organiser, Denise Austin.
Denise is a former member of the GB Beach Volleyball team who is now working to promote all beach sports, in particular lobbying local councils to establish permanent pitches for the likes of Beach Volleyball, Foot Volley and Beach Football. As part of this she is organising a weekend of demonstration and participation events in Croyde, North Devon, aimed mainly at schoolchildren. I think it's on the 19th/20th June. She called me in a professional capacity, but I was able to talk to her about Beach Ultimate, point her to the Paganello website etc, and she was excited by the possibility of getting a demonstration game set up for this particular weekend. Seems like a worthwhile thing for us to get involved in. Denise is very enthusiastic and committed and i'm sure would quickly become a good ambassador for Beach Ultimate. If we have teams organising for the World Championships in Portugal later this year, perhaps this would be a nice, high profile way to get together and play a few training games?
