Hello BritDisc, Uni Ultimate and Women of Ultimate It is with grave disappointment and sadness that I have to write this email.
At the Copa Cabana tournament in Nottingham last weekend, Lookfly had stored some Vincere SandSocks in a box in the rear of the Women's Changing Rooms so that GB players going to Portugal could collect them from us at this event. Sadly, and to our complete amazement we have since discovered that a complete bag of Black SandSocks and a couple of other styles were taken from inside this box. This is in additional to the Spirit Prize which was stolen from a separate location that weekend. As it was only Ultimate players who used these changing rooms for the duration of the weekend (including male players in the mornings) and only Ultimate players would see the value of owning such products, we can only deduce that it was an Ultimate player or players in attendance at this event who could have stolen them. I cannot express enough how disappointed we are to think that an Ultimate player would steal these from us especially considering that they have been pre-paid for by other players representing GB and that they at this stage cannot now be replaced. It will undoubtedly put our GB squads at a disadvantage over other teams who have bought SandSocks to prevent injury incurred from the harsh sands in Portugal. I appeal to whoever has taken them - please return them to us. SandSocks are quite rare and valuable items at the moment and we have not sold many black pairs at this stage. WE WILL KNOW THAT YOU MAY HAVE ACQUIRED THEM WITHOUT PURCHASING THEM IF WE SEE YOU PLAYING IN THESE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. YOU MAY AS WELL RETURN THEM ANONYMOUSLY RATHER THAN GET CAUGHT OUT AND CAUSE EMBARRASSMENT TO YOURSELF. If you do know anything, or have been given or sold some SandSocks other than from Lookfly over the past week, we urge you to come forward. Too many personal belongings, stock from Lookfly and items from those nice guys from Jump and Reach have been stolen recently and it is really starting to tarnish what is normally an immaculate reputation of Ultimate players in the UK. We are not going to punish anyone - we just desperately need them returning. Our address is 9 Easthorpe St, Ruddington, Nottingham NG11 6LB. Thank you.
