Hi all

As promised previously, here are the dates for some upcoming skills workshops:

-----------------------
Skills Day - 4th Feb

A repeat of the successful Skills Day we ran back in October, the aim
of the day is to teach some basic principles to beginners and
intermediate players. It is especially aimed at those who started
playing ultimate around Sept-Oct time (i.e. university beginners), but
everyone is welcome and even players with a few years experience found
the last session useful.

There are some drills and tips that will help you to improve.

 - Basic throwing & catching technique
 - Cutting & effective man-to-man defence
 - Forcing and breaking the mark
 - Bidding & Reading the disc

We'll finish with some games where you can put your new found
knowledge into practice.

-------------------------------
Zone - 18th Feb

Aimed at all players and clubs who feel they could learn from a top 6
team, we will be talking about zone.

- basic principles of playing against any zone
- how to throw an effective junk defence
- how to play against it

We'll finish with some games where you can put your new found
knowledge into practice.

------------
For both sessions:

It would be appreciated if captains could distribute this to their
teams, and get in touch with rough numbers of how many people are
coming and to which session.

Please get people to bring:

water
warm clothes
discs

Any questions, just ask

I hope to see you there

Brummie
