BD, and Uni Ladies, Due to some very unforeseen circumstances the Clifton Sports hall has become unavailable on the weekend of UWIN. 25th and 26th Feb (basically the campus is having it's electricity cut off for the weekend)
However, we've managed to pull some strings and have confirmed that we have the use of the University of Nottingham's Jubilee Sports hall for the same weekend. How does this effect you? -Jubilee Sports Hall is very slightly smaller than Clifton probably 1m less at each side. -There is also a smaller balcony, well it couldn't get much bigger could it. -However the whole facility was brand new in September last year. -The surface is fantastic sprung Desso flooring, like Warwick if you've been there recently. -We have the use of a large area for food, chilling out, music, storing bags etc, so the balcony should be free for watching. -We still have two great scoreboards that are operated remotely with timer countdown. -The showers are nice and big. -Jubilee sports hall is much closer to town than Clifton and has more parking. We set high standards for tournaments in Nottingham, and I'm happy to say that this new venue is by no means a step down in terms of quality, maybe a step sideways. ;-) Just some other things to confirm. -We will be using the old pull rules. -Teams that haven't yet sent money need to do so quickly - details below. -Deadline for cheques to arrive is Wednesday 15th Feb. After that we'll open up the spaces to teams who missed out on qualification. -The theme for the party is Hawaiian Beach Party -Team who haven't sent their details through need to send me the following, like now.
