I wonder if people remember the last (and first) running of the Fastest Man in UK Ultimate. It was held at the BritOpen in 2003 and was won by Joff Logg who was playing for GB D. Randomly at dinner on saturday I found myself with #1 and #3 in that race who then found out that the other person sitting with us had finished #2. #3 had apparently never gotten over the fact that #2 had gained advantage from a supposed false start and robbed him of the 1st loser spot. All the talk about that race (excessive talk), along with lots of banter about who really might be the fastest man in UK Ultimate made me think that after 3 years it really must be time to for it to happen again. #3 has a point to prove, Fire thinks it may have a challenger to Joff, Claphams Hickey is apparently enjoying improving his 100m time more than playing ultimate and there must be lots of new athletic talent out there now since 2003.
