Or it might be even easier to put a simple web form up on the ukua
site where each teams main contact has one vote. Then we can get the
view of every team in the country and not just the select few that go
to nationals.
Mike
ps. If the ukua is willing to give me access to their website then I
will be happy to put this up for them.

Perhaps the UKU would welcome a survey conducted at Nationals?
The captain's packs could contain 1 sheet of paper with a vote for
each
player: for or against.
I would be happy to process the votes if this would help.

BD,
There were a few mutters about this at the weekend, has the committee
which
was so eager to get full consultation with the membership a year ago
really
voted in private to scrap the split season - and even then not
mentioned
it
to us? Or have we all missed something - this seems very strange.
There is definitely a discussion to be had about how succussful
the split
season's been, could the UKUA please confirm what their current
position
is?
If a decision has already been taken, what were the reasons behind
it? At
least one person in Cardiff muttered 'because **** shouted loudly
enough'
referring to a member of the UKUA board, surely we'd all prefer to
hear
the
official record instead of creating rumours* to fill the void?

*Note: the rumours could well be true as I was in the Pimms tent, a
licenced
premises, at the time so technically I was told by a man in the pub.

hey guys,
the board had voted in favour of removing the Split season format
for next
year, and reverting to a more integrated format (alternating mixed
and
open
tours). this should all be in the minutes from a recent meeting, i
expect
they should be available to the public by now?
I personally feel that abandoning the split season format is NOT
in the
best
interests of UK ultimate. I also feel that the ultimate public in
the UK
should have a chance to give feedback to this decision, or
feedback on
how
successful (or unsuccessful) they felt the split season format was
this
year.
In my opinion i feel that the split season has been abandoned very
prematurely and that this decision is perhaps based on the short term
goals
of those making the decisions rather than the long term benifits
for the
sport in the UK.
i believe that both mixed and womens have benifited from the split
and any
knock the open division teams have taken is both temporary and
would have
been fully reversed if only the format was given some time to 'bed
in'.
How do people feel about this?
why not ask your team if they preferred the split tour format, and
email
BD
with how your team feel.
The decision may still be able to be changed if enough people/teams
believe
that it should.
Cormac
