Quote of the weekend from an unnamed top 4 player,
"Tom, you've saved my life this weekend, the tournament has been
brilliant, and Top 8 ultimate was getting so boring"

So there you have it top 8 players, why not let your train hard play
hard hair down once in a while and live it up at the Copa. Copa will
be back next year and may well be bigger still. August bank holiday
weekend 2007. Put it in your diaries now.

It was my first outdoor event as TD and was quite an education. It's
not like any other tournament such is the mental and physical strain
of organising all that fun. And though I feel like I work my a$s off,
I know I barely scratched the surface and if it wasn't for the massive
efforts to those listed below the Copa Cabana would be nothing like
the tournament it was.

So major thanks to the following people who made the whole thing possible.
- Dene Sheppard - Food - Absolutely everything else
- Steve Giguere - The Website, Booking the band, providing advice and
assistance, building the pitches, DJing, Designing the Discs and
T-shirts
- Jim, Ester, Raj, Dave, Oscar, Vince, Timo, Luke, Kat, Hovis and the
Copa Tent Crew
- Russ for Wristbands
- Tim for Shopping
- Kate, Allison and Cat for their support
- Dom for organising the Sumo
- Andy, Cheryl - scoring and timescheduling
- Dani and Grant for holding the HQ fort in my absence
- Dan Smith Rowsey for all the movie gear and the awesome oscars night
decorations and lights (I missed him off my list at the presentation)
- Oscar for being painted gold.
- CG for cleaning toilets all weekend...again.
- ACDC Entertainment
- The sWord
- Fancy a Nibble Catering
- The Nottingham Moderns Staff
- All the Flyght Club people who helped set up and take down pitches
and did far pitch duty, especially Phil the Daddy (Also missed off at
the presentation)
- Gordon and Christie for helping with the barbeque and curry and
wristbands (Also missed off at the presentation)
- Everyone who worked behind the bar in the Copa tent.
- Felix for filming everything that moved

If anyone has any good photos of the weekend then please email them to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and they will be added to the tournament gallery
on the copa website.

Off to bed now,
See you at nationals or indoors
