Hi all,

So in the interests of generating some noise about this first ever EUCF I
thought I'd voice my thoughts on the GB teams going:

Clapham:
Reigning European and UK Tour and National champions, everyone
(especially themselves) expects big things. It will be interesting to see
how the addition of some new faces this season will affect the team on the
international stage.

Fire:
A disappointing European championships last year leaves Fire with a
lot to prove. This year they have been as strong as ever on the UK Tour and
are building up for Worlds in Oz. I don't see them having a crash like in
2005.

Fusion:
Despite my obvious bias, I'm confident that Fusion can continue to
shake things up. I'm looking forward to a few 'upsets' ;)

Brighton:
Grapping the opportunity that Leeds and Chevy spurned, Brighton may
be a bit of a wild card in Florence; depending on personnel. During the
Tour they always seemed to step up against the 'top' teams - getting closer
to Clapham than most!

And the other teams to watch out for:

Skogshyddan:
These guys didn't make it to Europeans last year, but they won the
time before that. They aren't going to Oz for Worlds either and so this is
the peak of their year, plus they've been winning in Europe so far. This is
the team to watch.

FAB:
Anyone who saw (or heard about) how Clapham squeaked past FAB at the
semi's in Europeans 2006 will know that this is a good team. Have they had
a personnel change in the team this year though?

Ragnarok:
The Danes play a savvy game that I really enjoy, and Ragnarok where
runners up at Europeans in 2005; so we can expect them to stay in the top
bracket.

I'm not going to try any predictions - but anyone else care to? Or is there
more chat about these teams? Or any of the others?

The competition is strong and the venue in Florence looks to be amazing - so
I'm pretty exited to be going!

Cheers,
Barry
