well, i know kev has bascially been running the show
for ages, but:

* out of 9 coaches / members on the GBJW managment
team, 3 are from the midlands, 4 are from the north
east, one is southern, and one is north western
* I coached the GBJW last year - and i'm from the
north east and LLLeeds. Before me, Gemma Taylor, who
was London based. Before that, Cath Moore for serveral
years, who is sheffield / LLLeeds based... Last year,
Di worman from Iceni aided the coaching, and there
were several skills days down in London that catered
for Juniors, others in the midlands, and the
northeast. Last year's management also had GI and
Sally Cannon on board (Sheffield and York)
* On the men's side, this year london-based Voodoo was
GBJ open coach, with Stato (bristol) in support. Last
year, LD did it, who is london based. Before that,
Stig, who was a midlander at the time...
* LLLeeds have an newly elected coordintor to liaise
with Uni, where many of the new juniors are found.
Shef Steal have had a Junior Coordinator for a couple
of years now.
* Leeds Uni sent a Junior team to the recent Junior
tournament... Sheffield would have excpet for last
minute dropouts.
* James Hall (Leeds GBJW based manager) has been doind
striling work in schools already; as has Linz
Wilkinson who has started a team at her school wheer
she teaches; Cath Moore ran a Junior team in
Sheffield, members of which have played in GBJ teams
for the last few years...

there's more, i could go on, but i won't. Get the
picture. People are doing great work for Juniors all
over the place, and as ever rarely get any credit. I'm
not detracting from Kev, who has done a fantastic job
(hell, i should know, he was organising things when i
was a Junior in 2003 and Stig was coaching...), but a
large part of the reason the north west hosts most of
the junior stuff is becasue it has the most junior
teams (again, thanks Kev). There's junior teams all
over the place, and Junior outdoor nationals last year
was held by St Vincents College (Thundercatch) in
Gosport (south coast)...

I'm probably overreacting, but next time straighten
your facts out before you start saying that people are
being lazy...
