BD, This weekend saw the Damme Herre Slamme Fairre. Nottingham's 3rd annual mixed indoor tournament. With so many other distractions and many usual attendees at the check-in desk ready for worlds, we are a little short of teams for this one, only 12 in fact. A whooping 4hr 16mins of pitch time per team.
There was also chance to see some top snack p1mping action. Including the giant toffee crisp. http://www.tom-styles.co.uk/ultimate/photos/pimp-my-toffee-crisp/ , a pair of twin tower tribute sandwiches of questionable taste, and a rather weedy p1mped sherbet. The snack p1mping equivalent of a couple of masking tape stripes up the bonnet of your mum's fiesta flair. Rad. Never the less Mustard's Sherbet was the only non-flyghtclub entry and so they win be default. http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/projects.php Results 1. SCFY 2. Whipscar 3. Bigger than You 4. Flyght Club 5. Bears 6. Fling 7. Basic 8. Haze 9. Pies 10. TNT 11. Mustard 12. Arthur Terry School Spirit went to the Arthur Terry School, who, despite not winning a game, gave 110% all tournament and improved dramatically over the course of the weekend. They showed real passion and determination. Many of them had only been playing 3 weeks. In addition to being great fun on the pitch they were all immaculately behaved while watching, and their language was a lot better than some of the other teams too. ;-) They are a great credit to their school and to their coach Andy Vaughan. They will be very welcome back. If anyone has any lost property please contact the sports hall on 0115 8483219. Thanks to the following people for their help and support. Dene and Kate Sheppard for the food Gordon for sorting out prizes Grant for sorting out accommodation Flyght Club and particularly Andy Sharrat for the assistance with the scheduling scoring etc. Lookfly for their continued support of Nottingham tournaments Cheers all Tom Flyght Club Development Co-ordinator DHSF TD __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.ranulf.net/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/informed.asp
