Dear all (apologies if this is not in your area) Riding high on the back of a top 16 finish in mixed tour 2006, winning the London summer league, travelling to Perth to take part in WUCC 2006 and a win in the first of this seasons London Winter leagues (hell we even got the wildcard entry to this years Paga!) the Thundering Herd are once again opening up training over these cold winter months. These aren't try outs but open practices designed so that everyone who is mad enough to still want to train in the cold, wind and rain can do so and with enough people to make practice worthwhile. I think they call it critical mass. Depending on the numbers attending, the group may be split into 2 skill sets so that everyone can get something useful out of the sessions. Due to my erratic style of coaching the sessions will follow a multitude of formats although most will include an hour or so of drills followed by a game... in fact who am I kidding, all sessions will consist of drills followed by a game. But hey, you know what they say if it ain't broke... The first session will not be until the new year and will be held at 11am, in Clapham Common (as close to Clapham South tube station as possible) on the 6th of January and then every following Saturday until further notice. Due to some weekends being filled with tournaments we have a mailing list which is used to announce whether training is on or not. Please e-mail me or sign up to the herd_pickup list on yahoo groups. If you are interested in joining the team for the 2007 season then please come to one of these sessions and chat to either myself or any of the captains. Hope to see lots of friendly smiling faces in the new year, have a good one. Kenee
