Hey,

Something that's been happening in the Uni world for a while now is
that after Nationals, someone calculates each region's average
finishing position and hence the comparitive strength between the
regions - just for the sake of interest. So, I figured I'd do the
same for Club Open Nationals 2006:

Region | Places | Teams | Avg
SE | 1,2,5,9,13,16,20,26 | 8 : 11.5
Scotland | 3,21 | 2 : 12
Western | 10,11,15,24 | 4 : 15
North | 4,7,12,14,18,23,28,29 | 8 : 16.875
Midlands | 6,8,17,19,25,27 | 6 : 17

And here're last year's outdoor & this years indoor Uni averages:

2005-2006 Uni Outdoors:

Division 1
SW: 2,3,6 = 3.67
M: 4,5,11 = 6.67
Sc: 1, 8, 15 = 8
Ire: 9 = 9
SE: 7,10,14 = 10.3
N: 16, 12, 13 = 13.67

Division 2
I: 1 = 1
SE: 2, 3, 8 = 4.3
SW: 4, 6, 9 = 6.3
N: 5, 12, 13 = 10
M: 7, 10, 16 = 11
Sc: 11, 14, 15 = 13.3

2006-2007 Indoors (div1+2 combined):
5.915 | SE
6.5 | Scotland
7.165 | Western
7.485 | Nothern
10.85 | Midlands
14 | Ireland

This year's Uni Outdoor Regionals are being held on 10/11 March, with
Nationals following on 5/6th May.

Remember you can filter the LL table on www.regionalultimate.co.uk by
region to see how you're faring against your local competitors. For a
map of the regional divisions see

Hope lots of good ideas come from the conference this weekend!

Felix
