A big decision has been made! The Ladder Leagues are going to continue
indefinitely and uninterrupted into the future - that is so say, there will
be no end-of-season date when the 'LL winners' are announced, or starting
date for the next season - instead, the Ladder League will continue
throughout as a constant respresentation of the current activity and
performance of Ultimate clubs in the UK. To ensure it is kept current and
within reasonable boundaries, only results from the previous 12 months will
contribute towards each teams rank. So, if you're inactive for a year you
will drop to the bottom, and conversely if you're new and play as much as
everyone else, you'll be up to speed in a year. We are also adding a new
feature; the Hall of Fame - a permanent record of how many weeks each team
has spent at the top of the table - so as soon as you hit that #1 spot, your
team becomes legendary, and the longer you stay at the top, the greater your
legacy. I wonder who will be top of the Hall of Fame once it's active - did
Thundering Herd hold onto the #1 spot longer than Flaming Galahs have?

The last few weeks have seen loads more events happening around the country,
causing Flaming Galahs to slip from the top of the overall table as is seems
they've been taking a break. Getting to the top is tough, but staying there
is even tougher. New leaders are Thrown (Kings College) who have been very
active of late - organising their own Uni events in London, playing a total
of 28 games (at least 5 more than any other team), and generally showing us
how much they want it. With so many points to their name, other Uni teams
like UCL, Equilibrium, and Disc Doctors are keen to make the most of it,
this weekend earning high rewards with their victories over Thrown. The
fight for the top of the table has intensified as Equilibrium (London School
of Economics) have come out of nowhere and into second place, and solid
performances from UCL have boosted them to 3rd, meaning the Uni teams are
dominating the overall table, holding the top three positions.

The top of the club table is a classic #1 Clapham, #2 Fire affair, with
Fever and Strange Blue following up in 3rd & 4th. Any club-only event
played now could dethrone Clapham easily, as there are only 225 points
between them and 8th place EMO Ultimate, so as always, the time is ripe to
organise a small event and get your team climbing the ladders!
