Hello All, Until the teams are finalised for Copa I'll send just one more update to BD. Sorry those who don't care about the Copa ( do those people exist? ).
Copa is currently oversubscribed with 42 teams registered. We've used the tried and testing method of 'first to pay gets to play' to decide who gets the 32 spots. The teams entered page has changed now to reflect who has received the 32 spots. Not all 32 team places are allocated yet even though we have received payment for 32 teams. This is because we've had some trouble connecting some of the payments with teams. Cheques with no team name on them and Paypal payments from strange addresses but no team details etc. Check the list and see if your team is entered. If it isn't and you've paid please email me. I'd love to hear from you so you can solve the mystery of the obscure payment. If you registered before anyone else but aren't in because your finance guy didn't send the cheque to us...take the £140 and spend the money on beer. Remember...there's always the option of coming to Copa for the party. We get about 100+ people or so each year who just show up to hang out and that's all. Those there last year might remember Dr. S and his 24 hour rap. Nice. Ok my heart goes out to those we can't enter. We tried to make this event a 50 team event this year but got shafted on our potential new venue. Next year though...look out for the Copa Massive. To those entered this year...it's going to be crazy.
