All Some more information to help you find your way. The weather is looking "unsettled" although the BBC just added a sun symbol to the black cloud with rain coming out of it on Saturday :-) If lightening happens (as it did at our practice last night) we will stop immediately. Do not finish the point. Move to your car or the building. Using public transport (incl. taxi numbers) 2. Car parks 1. USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT: 1. Hatton Cross (Piccadilly line) Go to Bus STOP A and get Bus 90 These run every 20 mins from 5:49 am Journey time is 10-15 mins to closest stop + max 5 min walk to sports fields 2. Harlington & Hayes rail station - this is on line out of Paddington. There are frequent trains (3-4 per hour) and the journey is about 20 mins I believe. Go to Bus Stop M Bus 140 -> Heathrow OR Bus 90 -> Feltham OR Bus H98 -> Hounslow Bus station There seems to be at least one every 10 minutes EXCEPT for a bizarre gap between 7:43 and 8:12 - I must be reading the website wrong - but that does seem to be what it says Journey is 10-15 mins + max 5 min walk from village. Its not a long journey - cost of taxi will not be ok - esp if shared of course Local taxi numbers: Ealing 020 8810 9600 Radio Taxis 020 7272 0272 Empire Cars 020 8848 8888 Jans Cars 020 8606 0777 Cars 4 U 020 8845 5454 Sky Radio Cars 020 8573 1111 Cranford Radio Cars 020 8759 0101 Roundabout Enterprises 020 8848 1234 Hayes Cars 020 8573 1414 2. PARKING There are three car parks and some parking on the road. 1. Imperial college has a car park - probably space for about 100 cars - maybe less. I.e. its not v big. 2. Coming from Harlington village - go past the main entrance. A short distance further on there is a gap in the hedge onto a field. We have permission to park here - and there will be someone from the Flaming Galahs to help direct you. Overflow Parking 2 on map. 3. A little further on there is the actual car park for the "Little Harlington" fields. Again - this isn't huge - but will definitely help. Please do what you can to park efficiently. Overflow Parking 1 on map 4. Much of the road (Sipson Lane) has double yellows - but there are a number of gaps where parking is allowed. From experience we know that the local traffic wardens will give you a ticket for putting wheels on the pavement. All of this parking is free (as long as you stay off the pavement I guess) __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed
