Hi Britdisc
The GB women are heading to Emerald City Classic - one of the best
tournaments in the world on August 18/19. The tournament is held just
outside Seattle. The NW region is the strongest region in the world for
Ultimate.
Our first day schedule currently looks like this:
GB v MUD (WUGC2006 champions)
GB v Vancouver (WUGC2004 champions)
GB v Riot (UPA Runners-up)
GB v Schwa (UPA contenders).
And that's just the first day!
As a consequence....We need big game practice to help prepare us for this
tournament and we would like to play a game against a team at 5.30pm on the
Saturday of Tour 2 at Mansfield. I have checked with Hannah the TD and there
is a free pitch for us at this time.
Ideally we would like to play an open club team - one that is in the lower
region of the A tour or higher up in the B tour - one that has strategy and
isn't just a pick-up team. We would like to play to 15 points or for 90
mins. We want to fire up and play hard. We might ask you to not adopt a
hucking game but apart from that there would be no other requests.
If you are the captain of a team and are interested in playing us - please
drop me a line ASAP.
Alternatively, if we can't find a team, we are on the lookout for individual
players who would like to play us. If you are an individual player and are
keen to play - please drop me a line.
