Spirit of the Game went to Brighton 2
(*) For those that weren't there, this tournament had a double-elimination
style round to determine the 3rd and 4th spots for EUCF. Thus it iwas
possible to lose a QF but still recover and have a shot at the losing
semi-finalists. As things turned out, the losing semi-finalists both won
these recovery games. Chevron will take the 3rd seed position from EUCR-W
above Leeds on basis of their higher ranking over Leeds in the UKUA Tour.

Spirit of the Game went to Iceni 2

Results will go up on the website soon, and if it makes sense I'll provide
some more information on the spirit votes. Again - for the benefit of those
not there - we tried a system where each team gave a SOTG score for each
opponent using the BULA scoring system - which was interesting in itself.

Thanks again to all those who helped!
And in particular a big thanks to Cambo Cakes who made the trip over from
the Netherlands!
Most people seemed to enjoy themselves (no doubt the weather helped!) - and
apologies that the fields were too close together.

And - finally - with a particular eye on the emails on Britdisc about
rubbish in the last couple of weeks....

I would like to say a HUGE thank you all round for the way everyone treated
the site and people that work there. The amount of rubbish along the sides
of the fields was fairly minimal and most people clearly put some effort
into using the bins! :-) And the camping area was also pretty tidy. I
didn't get there until Dan had cleared it up - but apparently almost
everything was already bagged up - and what wasn't took only a few minutes
to collect. Maybe Steve's frustrations after Copa helped remind everyone -
dunno - but thanks anyway. They run quite a lot of rugby and football
events at that venue - and they simply couldn't believe how polite everyone
was - and what a great game we play! I thought you might like to know. As
a result I don't think I'm exaggerating if I say that the people running
that venue would now choose to host ultimate events over the more mainstream
sports when they get a choice!

Lost property email will follow. If you have any questions - or e.g. if any
of the results are wrong - please let me know.

Thanks

Si and Dan
