Hi All, Now that the 2007 season is officially over, Iceni is opening up their practices during the off-season and we are inviting interested players to get in touch. We will also be running a series of Skills Nights for London-based ladies aimed particularly at students.
Iceni Practices If you are interested in playing for Iceni in the 2008 season, we'd like to see you coming out to our Monday night trainings through the winter. We expect interested ladies to have a minimum of 1-2 year's experience (either as a student or in the London Summer League). We also expect you to commit to attending practices and that you have a desire to play competitive ultimate. Our first practice of the winter is next Monday, October 22. Please get in touch with me directly beforehand if you would like to come. Iceni Skills Nights We are hoping to run Skills Nights for students/beginners also. These sessions are open to all ladies regardless of ability including total beginners. We would especially like to welcome interest from South-East-based University players/teams as one of Iceni's goals for the year is to develop closer ties with nearby University teams. These will also be on Monday nights from about 7-9 pm and we aim to run them monthly. If you or ladies in your club would be interested in attending a Monday Night Skills Day, please get in touch. We have limited numbers for these nights (likely only 20 spots) so please respond quickly. The first Monday Night Skills Session is currently scheduled two weeks from now on October 29.
