Subject: Ireland Open 2008 Trial Dates
Hi all,
Trial dates for the Ireland Open squad that will compete at the World
Ultimate Championships in Vancouver in August 2008 have been set and are as
follows:
Trial 1 : Sunday January 6th : 11am-3.30pm : Gonzaga, Dublin.
Trial 2 : Saturday January 19th : 11am-3.30pm : TBC, Dublin.
Trial 3 : Sunday February 3rd : 11am-3.30pm : TBC, Dublin.
The first trial will be held at Gonzaga College, Ranelagh, Dublin, and is
open to all eligible players (precise eligibility rules will be posted here
on the 30th of November) .
This trial will be used as an opportunity to take an intial look at all
players interested in representing Ireland at WUGC'08 in Vancouver.
What we want from you:
a.. Show up at each of the trials ontime (kitted out by 11am) with the
right attitude, in good shape and ready to play...by doing this you will
give yourself every advantage when it comes to squad selection.
b.. If this means that you need to start some fitness/skills/technical
work now, then do so...give yourself the best possible chance of having
three successfull trials by preparing accordingly.
What you need to bring:
a.. Boots
b.. Water
c.. White playing shirt
d.. Green playing shirt
e.. Food for lunch
f.. Disc
We appreciate that some players may be concerned by the perceived
financial expense that will be associated with playing at WUGC'08. While
this is a factor to consider, it should not be a major one (and should
certainly not deter you from attending trials) as the ball is already
rolling in terms of attracting serious levels of corporate sponsorship which
will alleviate much of the costs for the squad.
