This weekend saw junior teams from across the country
head down to Devon for the UK Ultimate Junior Indoor
Nationals 2008. With Saturdays games seeing pool play
go to seeding this set up some interesting cross
overs with the lower seeded teams looking to take
some scalps. Airbadgers 2 turning over Thundercatch to
put them into the top 8 and a quarter-final with their
first team. Kent, building on the progress their Open
team made at Tour, knocked Stourbridge out of the top
8 setting them up for a closes victory over Catch
Those 1 to make an all southern semi-final vs.
Airbadgers 1 after they swept aside Airbadgers 2.
The other quarter finals saw Arctic 1 use their
experience to beat Discy Business, and Ocelots 1
beating Strangers with Candy from Brighton to set up a
North vs. North semi-final meaning who even won it was
going to be a North vs. South Final.
Kent and Arctic 1 fought hard against Airbadgers 1 and
Ocelots 1 respectively but the Badgers and Ocelots
just seemed to have an extra gear to push into when
needed and set up the final of Airbadgers 1 vs.

With players on both sides planning to represent the
Great Britain Under 19s squad in Vancouver the crowd
new that it was more than just the title up for grabs.
Airbadgers started out on offence and the first point
saw both teams feeling each other out with the Badgers
playing patient offense and the Ocelots going hard for
the D. With the points staying long with 5 minutes
left the score sat at 3 3 with both teams pushing
for the elusive edge Ocelots found that extra push and
scored two points to put the game out of the reach of
the Badgers. Final score Ocelots 5 3 Airbadgers.

weekend. A HUGE thanks to the Mayflower sports centre
and all their staff.

Thanks to all the players and coaches for playing and
working so hard all weekend.
And £350 was donated to the GB Junior squads trip to
Vanvouver in the summer.
