Rules: The cap may be changed from 2 to 1 if the weather is bad. If one or two rematches occur in the 3v5 and 4v6 GTG semis, and NO REMATCHES would occur if the opponents were swapped to 3v6 and 4v5, then make the switch. If any rematch would occur if the opponents were swapped then DO NOT make the switch. Every game is either in a 1hr 30 or 1hr 45 time slot. For each game, the following rules apply: 1 hr 30 slots (Sunday C Tour and W9-16) 75 minute game, finish the point, add cap of 2 Games to 13 with half at 7 Hard cap of 15 (overtime at 12-12, extra timeout - no draws) 1 timeout per team, per half, can be taken at any time 1 hour 45 min slots (all Saturday, A Tour + W 1-8 Sun) 90 minute game, finish the point, add cap of 2 Games to 15 with half at 8 Hard cap of 17 (overtime at 14-14, extra timeout - no draws) 2 timeouts per team, per half, can be taken at any time Tour 2008 is being played under the WFDF 2007 ruleset. Note that as soon as a point is acknowledged, the next point begins - so a hooter between points means finish the next point & add two to the highest score. Overtime rules: If 14-14 is reached before the hooter sounds, the game enters overtime, where a win-by-two rule comes into effect, with a hard cap of 17. If the score is 13-14 when the hooter sounds, and the team with 13 score, then 14-14 is reached after the hooter, so normal rules apply - game to 16 (or 15 if bad weather has caused the cap to be reduced to 1pt). Notes: 1) Priority has gone to teams not having to move around inbetween games, with A, W and B Tours getting the best pitches if possible. Back-to-back games happen (you should never have to travel far for one), though three back-to-back in a row do not. 2) Three teams qualify from B to A, and C to B, each Tour. The B Tour is structured so that one team in the 9-16 bracket can finish 3rd and qualify. Please pay due attention to the 'GTG Semis' of 3v5 and 4v6 in the B Tour, and see the opponent-swapping circumstances on the left of this page! 3) The new C Tour is an open format, so any team can finish in any position. 4) As many teams as possible are free to watch any of the 4 finals. 5) The games on Saturday are organised with this priority: so (a) you can watch your Sunday morning opponents play during your breaks, (b) the Scottish teams have the 12:30 start, and (c) the top seeds have the 12:30 start. 6) The order of group games is so that you always have a break before the (theoretically) most important match - 2v3 - and that the least important matches - 1v3 / 2v4 - are always the first game of the day. 7) Pitch 3 is potentially the only crosswind pitch - we have tried to avoid one team having the advantage here by making it unlikely that any team will have two games on this pitch on Sunday. __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed
