Hi BD,

Just a quick email to remind people about Entry/Distribution of
Places, Blacklisting, Rosters and Kit for the Mixed Tour. These
generally follow the Open Tour with a few changes to account for the
lack of an A Tour.

Entry. (Mainly relates to MT2&3).
The top 24 teams from each Mixed Tour will have an automatic place at
the next event up until the closing date (as set by the TD).
Remaining positions at the event are filled based on the following order;
1. Teams unable to enter the previous event due to over-subscription
or non-entry. Returning from blacklisting does not entitle a team to a
priority space.
2. The highest placed teams after the previous event, starting with
25th and working downwards.
3. Any other team wishing to enter.
4. Blacklisted teams.
Once the entry deadline has passed, any unfilled places at the
tournament are available to be filled by the TD, at their discretion.

Blacklisting.
Drop outs from the Mixed Tour will be subject to the same Blacklisting
and Penalties as drop outs from the Open Tour.
1. Teams that default on the entry procedures (which are there to help
TDs) may be moved to the Blacklist by the DOC. Teams on the Blacklist
will only be considered for tour tournaments that are
under-subscribed.
2. Sometimes there may be a genuine reason for defaulting, and
penalties will not necessarily be incurred in these circumstances.
3. The Blacklist will be made public so that TDs of non-tour events
can use it to assess which teams are unreliable.
4. The Blacklist will not apply to National Finals, but is instead
carried forward into the next season.

Rostering.
Any player playing in the UKUA tour must be a UKUA member. All players
entering must be on a roster with their UKUA membership number.
Club rosters must be submitted using the same method as the Open and
Women's Tours using the UKUltimate website.
Club rosters are fixed for all three of the main tour events and
National Finals. Players may be added to the roster at anytime so long
as they comply with Eligibility rules. Removals or transfers will only
be allowed under exceptional circumstances.
Players must play for the team they are rostered with. If their
rostered team is not attending they may play as a guest for other
teams.
A player may only play for one team at each event. Players playing for
two teams will incur penalties for both teams represented.

Guests.
For the Mixed Tour, each team may have 1 Guest *of each sex*.

Kit.
All teams are expected to provide matching shirts of any reasonable
(i.e. non-offensive) design. Both light and dark strips are required.
It is hoped that teams in the top 16 will have numbered shirts (i.e.
player identifying individual numbers) and matching shorts but no
sanctions will be brought against teams failing this. Teams outside of
the top 24 will be given more lee way before kit infractions incur
penalties.
For Mixed teams combining Open and Women's teams from the same club
with slightly different kit, provided that the Open and Women's kits
are substantially matching then it is acceptable to use this kit in
the Mixed Tour. Different generations of kit are acceptable as long as
they still match.
In deciding whether a team does not have matching shirts we will apply
the following test: "Would a reasonable, neutral spectator be able to
see from the sideline that members of the same team are wearing shirts
of a *different* design?".

Nationals.
The original bid, pencilled in on the calendar for Cardiff has been
withdrawn so we require new bids. If you'd like to make a bid, please
check the UKUA site www.ukultimate.com for information on the bid
procedure and if you have any further questions contact myself, the
Administrator or the DoC.

Regards,
Chris White
UKUA Mixed Division Coordinator
