Yo!

Something that hasn't been considered yet in this discussion is number of
games per weekend. Just adding one more game means teams have to play
another 90 minutes of ultimate in a weekend where they've probably had to
play back to back somewhere too. There was a discussion a few years back
about getting the amount we have to play right to keep the tournaments safer
and freer from injury. Personally I think 6 hours of game time over a
weekend is pretty much perfect (for me).

I'm fairly sure a tour system which allows 25th seeds to become 5th by
tour 3 is incredibly fair, and would be a great achievment for the team in
question.

We do have a seeding tounament for the mixed tour - it's the previous years'
tour! Do well the year before, and you'll find yourself seeded very
reasonably. If you are a new team, then work hard and you'll seeding will
reflect your ability over time.

I think that the UKU organisers have put in masses of time and effort and
have come up with the best solution to a 3 tour plus nationals format. They
also do a great job of taking suggestions seriously - so if you've got a
good idea then let them know! (the uku that is).
