with all this talk of ultimate in the media lately on BD i thought id add our experiences......
If you want publicity get a junior team!! we have been on local news 2 times now in the last 2yrs, local radio as well i think, then local press over 5 times and are on the local news (north east tonight-ITV) today (10th june). Then today the local BBC (york/leeds i think) came to film us playing today and for a couple of our squad who are on GB juniors, theres an interview and then the presenter playing a match with us and being taught how to throw, its good they dedicate so much time to it, and she seemed really impressed about spirit and the intensity of it!! They always present it in a good way, with some good shots of us running about and a bit of an explanation, it can only help promote the sport. Although they always start of doubting and sinical, they soon change their mind and realize its harder than it looks. If you just ring or email the local press they love it cos its a bit different and that. Get it out there and heard about!!
