Last one from me I hope...

On the subject of the rain

1. This venue is not well setup for lots of rain. There is very little
inside space - basically just the changing rooms. Please be patient with
the people that work at the venue - that is the only space there is; they
can't let us into the other areas of the building no matter how much we
might promise to look after it.

We have some marquees and have pulled together some extra gazebos and so on
since seeing the weather forecast. But then again the wind might scupper
those plans...

So - really do bring clothing and equipment to cope!

At least it won't be too cold...

2. At Tour 0 the weather was really really bad (as many of you will know).
The pitches have only recently recovered and so the groundsman is a little
nervous. If the weather on Saturday is extreme (continuous heavy rain) and
if the forecast on Sunday looks the same it is just possible they will shut
off some of the fields.

We have a contingency plan schedule and it obviously involves cutting back
the number of games/fields and maybe even teams that play on Sunday.

So - if the weather is REALLY bad on Saturday, I suggest a team contact
makes a point of checking whether everything is OK for Sunday before you all
leave on Sat afternoon. If any changes do have to be made we will at least
put them on the UKU website. If you leave a mobile contact number at the HQ
tent, we will attempt to contact you Sat night if the worst-case does
happen.

If we do end up in this sort of situation we will get some money back from
the venue, and will be expecting to do some sort of refund.

HOWEVER

This scenario is EXTREMELY unlikely and we fully expect that even if the
weather is as bad as currently forecast we will get through all the games
without a problem. It seemed best to give people some warning/notice.

Si
