Greetings, indoors fans! I know you're out there... The most northerly of this season's club indoor qualifiers is in Sheffield, on the 22/23 of November. It's being held at the Ponds Forge sports centre (the venue of last year's nationals, for those that went), with 2 large pitches and great facilities, as I'm sure anyone that went to nationals will tell you.
************************ ENTRY: There are currently 16 spots available, and entry is £130 per team. Second and third teams are welcome and should be registered at the same time as your first team if possible, but priority will be given to first teams due to the very limited number of qualifier places available this season. Teams are welcome from anywhere in the UK, as these are qualifiers, not regionals; there is no geographical restriction! Please first register your team(s) by email at this address ( robflintham [at] yahoo [dot] co [dot] uk ), providing... Team name: Number of teams you wish to enter: Contact name: Contact email: Contact phone number: Preferred method of payment: (bank transfer or cheque) Please get your cheques (seperate cheque for each team entered, please! 2 teams = 2 cheques!) in the post ASAP, sent to: Rob Flintham 26 Acaster Drive Garforth Leeds LS25 2BQ Cheques should be made payable to "Mr Robert Flintham", and will not be cashed until your place has been confirmed. *Please write the name of your team on the back of each cheque!* Any cheques not cashed (i.e. those for any second teams that have to be turned away) will be posted back to you so you can destroy them at your leisure. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, I'll email you the approprate details when you register your team. Any fees paid for second teams that cannot be given places will be fully refunded as soon as non-entry is confirmed. Closing date for registering teams by email is the beginning of next week (Monday 3rd of November), closing date for payment is 2 weeks from now (Monday 10th of November), by which point cheques must be with me and any bank transfers must have completed. If you haven't paid by then, your place will be given to somebody else. Of course, if you want your place to be confirmed, get your money in as soon as possible! It's basically first come, first served, after all... *************************** ACCOMMODATION: Accomodation will either be on floors in houses with the finest and most loving ultimate players Sheffield has to offer, or in a local scout hall or parish hall. The hall is yet to be confirmed (and I have yet to ask/beg said Sheffield players for their kind help!). Fees for this will be covered as far as is possible by the entry fee, but there may be a small charge for teams in the scout hall (a couple of pound per person at most). As I said, it's yet to be confirmed, and I'll keep email-registered teams updated. Anyone who wishes to splash out and book hotel rooms, the Sheffield Central travelodge is a 5 minute walk from the sports centre, but it is expensive (£55 per night for a family room). *************************** I think that's all there is to know for now. Hope to hear from you all soon. Any questions, please get in touch.
