Ever had a question about the rules that you just couldn’t get a
straight answer on?
At this year’s conference Flo Pfender is one of our guest speakers. In
addition to being on the WFDF rules committee and a key member of the
team that has been updating the rules in the last few years, Flo is also
on the UPA rules committee.
One of the main goals of the current work on the WFDF rules is to
provide a guidance document to sit alongside the rules. What do you
think needs to go in there?

Been playing ultimate a little while now? Have you noticed that it can
be quite tough on your body? Jeff Jackson will be talking about long
term athlete development in the context of ultimate. Find out more
about how doing the right things can make you a better player.
Apparently its never too late.

Matt-Bob Hims played for DoG from 2001 to 2006 – playing in the final of
WUCC 2002 amongst other things. He’s been back here a little while now,
and played for Fire in 2008. I asked him to talk about cutting, and
space, and not being in each other’s way. Expect to hear more about
DoG’s philosophies on offence than Catch 22’s…

ultimate in this country
Find out about what we’ve been doing in schools… did you know that every
secondary school in the country recently received a set of resources
about various sports that included ultimate?

Meet the folks on the Competition Committee and give them your views on
how it should all work…

Or just come and take a look at how the other half live! The National
Tennis Centre was office building of the year last year. The indoor
courts have under-floor heating that allows them to change the bounce
characteristics of the surface in order to mimic the conditions at the
players’ next tournament. And they’re letting us use it for virtually
nothing (er, not the courts obviously).
