Hi

Just spotted this message and wanted to clarify something in general.

"evenly matched teams to each of the three tour events, before making a
selection for Nationals..."

The open tour this year consists of three tours, and Nationals is combined with
Tour 3 - there is NOT a separate Nationals. For more information please refer
to the earlier post from the Competitions Committee.

Thanks
M

Subject: [BD] Fire of London Trials: This Saturday and Next Saturday

Dear BritDisc

Fire of London will be holding their selection trials for the 2009 season on
Clapham Common over the next two Saturdays (14th March and 21st March).

If you are interested in trying out to play for Fire of London then please
reply to this e-mail address [email protected], so we know how many
people to expect.

Fire of London 2009

Following recent successes both domestically (Tour runners up) and in Europe
(EUCF Silver medalists), Fire of London's goal for 2009 is to build towards
World Clubs in 2010 and to secure the long term future of the club. Therefore,
the major focus is to develop new players.

This goal is reflected in Fire of London's plan for the forthcoming season,
where the aim is to maximise exposure of new recruits and less experienced
players to top level ultimate.

In particular, Fire aims to take two small (13-16 players), evenly matched
teams to each of the three tour events, before making a selection for Nationals
and the European Ultimate Club Finals.
