Disappointingly late - sorry - there is an update to "tour rules" on the website now: http://www.ukultimate.com/system/files/UK_Ultimate_Open_Tour_2009.pdf
Nothing much in the way of change at the level of things like kit rules, points awarded, etc. There is clarification on qualification for xEUCF 2009 (which is all done from Tour 2008 results) and the method for getting to WUCC 2010 (which is more interesting). And remember that we are now playing to 2009 WFDF RULES OF ULTIMATE. http://www.ukultimate.com/system/files/UK_Ultimate_Open_Tour_2009.pdf On another note. Many people are trying hard to sort out membership in preparation for Mixed Tour this weekend. Thanks for that. If you think you'll need to do this, please try to do it earlier rather than later in the week if possible. Some explanations/reminders about some of the nasty idiosyncrasies in the system. There is work being done at the moment to make many of these problems go away. it can't happen soon enough. * "Authenticated user" means "not a member" (I know, I know - it will be renamed after the upgrade) * Sometimes when you pay, your membership status is not updated. Usually this happens if your email address on the UKU site does not match your paypal email. There are warnings about this, but we know that for some people its difficult to change this. If this happens to you I can sort it manually but please let me know. The other time this problem occurs is when people do a "paypal send-money" rather than clicking through from the "join" pages on our site. If in doubt you can pay by cheque - please put your username on the back of the cheque. * To be clear, if you've paid then your membership is valid and nobody will be disqualified for suffering technical problems like these. * The website cannot tell you when your membership will expire. (I know, I know. it will be able to do that after the upgrade.) Meanwhile if you received a card for last year's membership then that did have the correct expiry date on it. If you didn't receive such a card there may have a problem with your address or maybe you suffered from the problem mentioned above. Either way, you can either look up last year's paypal receipt, or I can tell you. OR if you just go ahead and renew, you will not lose money if you are doing it early, as your expiry date is just the anniversary of the date you joined in 2007 (or later if you didn't join that year). And this will all be clear and visible by the time of the next renewal. * If you contact me I will endeavour to help you as quickly as I can.
