Hello All,

Final preperations are being made for TropHat which takes place this coming
Sunday on Tooting Bec common near Balham Tube/Overground. Please note that
the weathermen have helpfully deamed Sunday to be sunny/rainy/overcast with
scattered showers/sunshine/clouds. Fat lot of use that is. There are also
some Tubelines running with a limited service (although I believe the
Northern Line is OK) so please check with Boris at tfl.gov.uk before you
travel.

The teams will be drawn on Saturday Afternoon to allow as much time as
possible for people to get in at the last minute. There's still space for
you, your partner, family or concubine. £10. All proceeds are going to fund
two people to work on an AIDS & Malnutrition intervention in Zambia for two
months. A ruddy good cause, I think you'll agree.

The format is mind boggling: A "Round Robin" between all teams and then a
final between the top two teams to add a little spice. Madness. There will
be a break at one point so everyone can go and get some Kronenbourg from the
Sainsbury's near the train station in preperation for the final. It is
*essential* that you buy Kronenbourg though. Sorry.

Games will start at 9:30(am) but by all means rock up as early as 9(am) to
meet your team and get your 'kit' if you weren't at the Party the night
before (Incidentally the party is 8pm till late in "The Hive" in Brixton -
all welcome - there will be Flip Cup, permanent markers, straightarming). We
are only assigning players to the colours of their shirt - it is up to the
players present at the party to design their own kit and team name. If you
want to make sure you team name isn't "Cock Ponies" or "The Fabulous
Moriarty Brothers", I suggest you turn up to the party and quietly guide the
selection towards your choice of "The Pickle Incident of 2009". Or whatever.

Games are to end about 6pm. We will do our best to get enough water for all
but please be sensible and bring enough for yourself. The schedule will be
emailed to the facebook group.

All the very best

The TropHat team
