>From the European sports broadcaster's mouth: World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan 17-26 July One year after every Olympic Games, the World Games gather together 32 sports not included in the Olympic programme but that could be in the future. The federations of the sports that are taking part in the World Games are officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee. The last edition of the World Games was in Duisburg, Germany in 2005, with 93 countries participating and more than 3400 athletes. Russia topped the medal table for the second time in a row, in front of Germany and Italy. Amongst all the disciplines, Eurosport 2 will pay particular attention to the more unusual sports like Bowling, Korfball (mixed team sport with a ball), Dragonboat (boat races), Tug of War (strength sport - rope pulling), Fistball (mix of Tennis & Volleyball), Flying Disc and Tchoukball (indoor team sport with a ball). Eurosport 2 coverage will include more than 26 hours, including 13 hours Live.
I saw the USA vs Aus final last time round - in fact I have it on VHS. Coverage wasn't exactly great, but awesome to see a bit of ultimate on TV.
