Greetings Good People, The Flaming Galahs have managed to get organised enough to sort out their Galahbecue this summer. After forgetting to even bother last year due to a mixture of administrational failure and cider consumption, this year we've got on it and it's all booked in.
Two years ago we hosted it at Rosslyn Park Rugby Club and it was a rip roaring success. Despite the fact we held it on a sunday, most of us stayed until the death. Due to the complaints about hangovers at work, we've managed to convince the rugby club to let us host it on a saturday this year. You have no excuses now. When - August 22nd. Starting at 4pm. Where - Rosslyn Park Rugby Club. Cost - £15. "What do I get for this then eh?" I can hear your minds working. Hog roast. Enough meat to kill a bear. There will of course be veggie options as well. Enough greenery to kill a rabbit (or something). Mixed DDC competition. I am the defending champion along with Frenchy. Fear us. Disco. We're hiring decks and a stereo system to make sure you're still dancing even when you can no longer feel your legs. On top of this, ALL money raised will go to charity. We haven't finalised the chairty yet but it will be one which allows people to play sport when they would otherwise not have the oppotunity. I'll let you know once this is sorted. It's going to be great and we'd love to share our summer party with all the good people who make up British and Irish ultimate. Feel free to bring friends, family and children are welcome as well. I'm off to France for two weeks so if you want tickets please reply to me AND Russ who is cced in. To run an event like this, we need confirmation of your attendance as early as possible.
