Dear all,
Following on from Si's e-mail, I would be happy to hear from any more teams
interested in entering this tournament and going for one of the three
qualifying spots available for indoor nationals being held in the same venue on
the 30th and 31st of January 2010. A bit about the tournament below...
Discgow Open is an open tournament run alongside Womens Regionals
in Scotland, an ideal oppurtunity for club members not invovled in
womens regionals to enjoy some excellent indoor ultimate and contribute to
the fun at the party. Thfere will be a relatively early finish on Sunday (3pm)
to allow teams to travel home at a reasonable hour.
This year in Glasgow we have
secured the use of a venue superior to anything used for indoor
ultimate in the UK to date. The brand new Toryglen Regional football
centre (
http://www.csglasgow.org/services/Sport/FootballCentres/ToryglenRegionalFootballCentre/
) developed as a training facility for the London 2012 olympic games
will be an inspiring venue to both play and watch ultimate with a 700
seat stand overlooking the state of the art artificial grass pitches.
There was originally space for 12 teams, however if there is sufficient
interest (we have ten teams so far) I hope to expand to closer to 16, i will
need to confirm this with the venue soon though, so if you are thinking of
getting a team together then please get in touch ASAP.
Entry Fees are £120 per team
To register your team(s), please reply to this e mail with the following details
Club Name (team name)

I will then register your entry and send you details to allow for payment.
If you have any queries about the tournament or would like to know more please
get in touch by e mail.
Look Forward to hearing from you
Derryk Boyd, Glasgow TD
