The Hat: A Hat Tournament for Women from the Midlands (all ladies welcome!)
Do you fancy playing more Women's Ultimate? Would you like to play more ultimate with women from the area in which you live or study? Do you fancy playing at a Hat Tournament? Got a free day on the 28th? Well read on! The Hat is being held in order to give female ultimate players in and around the Midlands the opportunity to play matches against other women and to meet other ladies from the area. It will be hosted by the ladies from the Leamington Lemmings who are also running Hat-oween (The Lemmings 3rd Birthday Hat Tournament (just for girls) that looks like its going to be a very successful day with 65 women attending!). So if you live in or near the Midlands and fancy joining us for a day of ultimate then register to play at The Hat! More details below: What: An informal outdoor Ladies' Hat Tournament for all women in and around the Midlands. When: Saturday, 28th November 2009 from 10.30am - 4pm (ish) Where: Selly Park, Birmingham (Please don't get confused with Selly Oak Park! To find it please look for Raddlebarn Road not far from the University of Birmingham) Who: Open to all ladies. Yes, ALL ladies. So if you've never played before, play at university, played for years or have a relative/friend who'd like to try it out, bring them along! How to register: Participants need to email [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the subject "The Hat" and an indication of their skill level. See skill levels below. 1. Beginner - Never/Hardly played before 2. Intermediate - Played for around a year 3. Able - Played for a couple of years 4. Expert - Played for many many many years Bring: Team colours will be announced nearer the event but you will need to bring your own coloured t-shirt. In addition, please bring along some warm clothes, boots/cleats, water (a bin liner for your bag in case it is wet would also be useful but, fingers crossed, unnecessary).
